The latter complaint is probably due to its decibel limitations. And when ran through an amp they sometimes cant get as loud as my drums or they distort low frequencies at loud volumes. One being that in practice, the cord is usually to long. Also, they sport a high quality cable and jack that has not failed or faltered for over 2 1/2 years of continuous use. Furthermore, I can wear them for 3+ hours without them feeling uncomfortable. The ATH-M20x’s are great value for performance over-ear headphones.
